Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizen in good health; between 18 and 35 years old; holding a high school degree or above.
2. For Chinese-taught programs: HSK 4 (an overall score of 180 or above) or above is required. (Applicants who fail to attain the required level of language proficiency can take a one-year language training course offered by the CIE.)
3. For English-taught programs: one of the following language proficiency requirements must be satisfied.
(1) The native language or the official language of home country is English
(2) IELTS (an overall score of 5.5 or above)
(3) TOEFL (an overall score of 60 or above)

(1) Chinese-taught programs: Copies of HSK Certificate Level 4 or above
(2) English-taught programs: Copies of IELTS or TOEFL score report
5. Application fee of 600 RMB and the proof of bank transfer
6. Other supporting documents should be provided if necessary.
* High school graduates can provide Expected Graduation Certificate and submit the completed one upon registration. 
* Applicants are required to submit the copies for all documents in Chinese or English, or notarized Chinese or English translations, and the original ones upon registration.
* The above application materials will not be returned regardless of admission or not.

Chemical Engineering and Technology Program
The Chemical Engineering and Technology Program has successfully passed the review of ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) in 2014 and is the earliest one that has passed the accreditation in China.

Business School
ECUST MBA program has passed the Association of MBA’s accreditation with a 5-year-term validity twice in 2012 and 2017. In 2015, ECUST MBA program has been awarded the certificate of Chinese Advanced Management Education Accreditation (CAMEA).

Scholarships

For New Students

· Chinese Government Scholarship (Bilateral Program)

Applicants shall apply to the governmental institutions or the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in the home countries. Please consult local relevant department for application date.

· Shanghai Government Scholarship (Type B, Partical Scholarship)

Applicants must apply directly to ECUST by completing the online application (at www.study-shanghai.org)before May 2017 and mailing or submitting the application materials to the Admissions Office of College of International Education. Successful applicants will be enrolled in preparatory programs taught in Shanghai Normal University on full scholarships starting from September 2017 to July 2018. Upon completing the preparatory courses, the students will return to ECUST in September 2018 to continue their major studies on partial scholarships.

This scholarship is awarded once a year to international students according to their academic performance and comprehensive performance.

* High school graduates can provide original expected high school diploma and submit the original high school certificate of completion and a copy when registering at ECUST.

3. Transcripts of all high school courses;

4. Copies of HSK Certificate Level 4 or above if applying (Chinese-taught Programs);

5. Certificate of English Proficiency (Engish-taught Programs, for those whose mother tongue or official language is not English.)

6. Application fee of 600 RMB

You can pay the fee by bank transfer and submit the copy of the transfer vouchers and other application materials altogether by email. You can also pay at the scene of submitting the materials.

7. Other supporting documents(e.g. award certificates)

Note:

1. In addition to the application materials mentioned above, supplemental materials should be provided if necessary.

2. The application documents and fee will not be returned no matter you are accepted or not.

How to Apply

Step 1. Apply online
Please register and login ECUST online application system (http://apply.ecust.edu.cn or https://ecust.17gz.org), choose “Undergraduate Student” option in the column, then select “Choose your program” , fill out the application form and submit online application.

Step 2. Pay application fee
Once online application is reviewed and approved, a notification would be delivered through the system. As required, please pay application fee by bank transfer in time. Then Login in your account and upload the receipt of bank transfer or pay in person at Room 104, Chenyuan Building.

Step 3. Get admission letter and JW202 visa form
Upon receiving the payment, the Admission Letter and JW202 Visa Application Form will be issued and sent to mailing address in 10 days.

Teaching Venue

Courses of the first, second and third year of undergraduate study are taught on Fengxian campus; Courses of the fourth year of undergraduate study are taught on Xuhui campus. Part of courses are taught on Xuhui Campus in accordance with the arrangement of different majors. ECUST school bus is available to international students.

Enrollment & Registration

1. Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (Form JW202) will be issued and sent to applicants in about two weeks after successfulapplications.

2. Admitted applicants should submit their passport, Admission Notice, and Visa Application Form (Form JW202) to the Chinese embassy (or the Chinese Consulate General) in their home countries to acquire a student visa. Applicants should register at the Admission Office of College of International Education within the registration period and apply for a Shanghai Residence Permit to the Exit- Entry Administrationof Shanghai Public Security Bureau in accordance with related regulations.< /p>
