CIE holds Belt and Road cultural lectures

In the afternoon of April 27, the "Belt and Road" national cultural series lectures organized by CIE kicked off in the lecture hall of Yifu Building. the Egyptian student, Ma Maode, Russian student, Xiya, and the Pakistani student Wakas were invited for the first lecture. These three students respectively introduced their own country's history and culture, customs and friendly exchanges with China.

Ma Maode started his lecture from the origin of Egypt, Pharaoh, pyramid and other ancient civilizations, introduced the development of modern science and technology in Egypt and deep friendship between China and Egypt. Then Xiya introduced the cultural differences between China and Russia in characters, customs, daily habits and other aspects, and the friendship between the two countries.  While Wakas introduced the history and development of Pakistan, science and technology, sports, scenery, food, customs, and the long-standing friendship between China and Pakistan.

After the speech, the three students had warm exchanges and discussions with the audience, from which we could understand the historical origins and close connection between China and other "Belt and Road” participants.

It is reported that the second lecture of this series will be held as scheduled on May 16.
