WHY ECUST?

1.Table Tennis, as Chinese National Sport, is one of the distinctive educational pro-grams of East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST).

2.Located in Shanghai, ECUST is one of the universities, approved by the Ministry of Education of China, that can recruit high-level sports teams. It is also the chairman unit of Table Tennis Branch of Federation of University Sports of China.

3.Established in 1992, ECUST Table Tennis Club is the first one organized by a univer-sity in China. It has a “Table Tennis Talent Pool” training from pupils to university students.

4.ECUST has trained a large number of world-famous table tennis players, such as Shiwen Liu, Xiaona Shan, Yana Tie and Fei Xue. Also their table tennis team has ob-tained great achievements, wining 167 gold medals, in the International University Students Table Tennis Competition.

5.There is a high-level coach group led by our champion coach and customized plans to improve students’ skills.

6.There are perfect supports both in equipment and in table tennis training systems. We offer a group of elite training staffs and a professional and personalized system for table tennis training.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

1. The Grading Certificate of Completion of ECUST International Table Tennis Elite Program and the Certificate of Completion of Chinese Language Program will be is-sued to you.

2. You will improve your table tennis skills dramatically, at least raising 3 levels. (Ac-cording to Standard Test of Sport Skill Level of Table Tennis for Teenagers.)

3. You will get The National Grading Referee Certificate of China, internationally rec-ognized. With it, you are qualified to judge table tennis competitions in China.

4. You will master some daily expressions of Chinese language and specialized knowledge of table tennis as well as experience Chinese culture of table tennis.

5. You can watch top table tennis matches in China. (Table Tennis Association Super League, First Division Group A League in Table Tennis, First Division Group B League in Table Tennis)

6. You will have opportunities to challenge world table tennis champions.

7. You can make friends with top table tennis players from China and other countries.

HOW TO TRAIN？

Training Context:

Monday-Friday: Chinese Language classes + Table Tennis Training;

Weekends: Cultural experience and Practice of table tennis

Non-Chinese citizen in good health; over 16 years old; loving table tennis; table ten-nis skills are not a necessary prerequisite.

Fill in the application form and submit it online
↓
Pay application fee and upload the receipt of bank transfer, or upload the recom-mendation letter
↓
Wait for the admission result (3 working days)
↓
The Admission Letter and JW202 Visa Application Form will be issued and sent to ap-plicants, and the successful applicants should apply for the Students Visa (X) in the Chinese embassy (or the Chinese Consulate General) in their home countries.
