Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizen in good health; between 18 and 60 years old who want to improve the Chinese proficiency in a short period of time, and prepare to take the HSK test in order to pursue studies in Chinese universities.

Program Features

Intensive Chinese language teaching courses with 28 lessons per week (45 minutes/lesson), and effective in rapidly improving the Chinese language proficiency.

Graded teaching: The program is divided into Grade 4 and Grade 5 in accordance with students’ choice for HSK examination grading.

Small class teaching, which starts at the minimum of 10 students. And the number of students per class ranges between 10 and 20.

Students who pass the HSK level 4 are eligible to apply for undergraduate program in the ECUST.

The program organizes the language social practice once for each semester, including traveling to or visiting cities or regions around Shanghai.

Term Length

18 weeks for classes per semester

Fall semester: Early September - Middle January

Spring semester: Late February – Early July

Class Time

Monday--Friday morning: Comprehensive Chinese Training (listening, speaking, reading, writing)
Monday--Thursday afternoon: HSK special tutorial

3. Other supporting documents should be provided if necessary.

All courses are taught onXuhui campus. We provide you with comfortable and convenient learning and living environment, as well as persified entertainment activities and convenient transportation network.

Enrollment & Registration

1. The admission documents including Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (Form JW202) will be issued and sent to applicants or collected in 10 working days after passing the review of online application.
2. Admitted applicant should submit the passport, Admission Notice, and Visa Application Form (Form JW202) to the Chinese embassy (or the Chinese Consulate General) in home country to apply for a student visa. Applicants should register at the Admissions and Academic Affairs Office of College of International Education of ECUST within the registration period.
