Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizen in good health; between 18 and 60 years old

Program Features

Small-sized classes, about 20 students per class, mixture of international students
Courses:  Intensive Reading, Spoken Chinese, Listening, Extensive Reading, Writing, etc.
Levels: Elementary I(zero level), Elementary II, Intermediate I, Intermediate II, Advanced I, Advanced II
Placement test in the beginning; Certificate & transcript upon completion
Providing after-class tutorials
Various elective courses

Transfer from the other school in the middle of course period is accepted

Teaching Objective

Levels
Objectives
Elementary I
Master around 1250 words, be able to understand and also use simple Chinese phrases which will meet the basic needs for daily communication. Pass HSK level 1.
Elementary II
Master around 2750 words, have an excellent understanding of the basic Chinese and can communicate on simple and routine topics. Pass HSK level 2 or 1.
Intermediate I
Master around 3850 words, be able to communicate in Chinese on the daily, academic or professional topics at a modest level, can also handle most communicative tasks in Chinese for specific occasion. Pass HSK level 3 or 2.
Intermediate II
Master around 5000 words, be able to communicate and express your opinions in Chinese on a wide range of topics, and be able to communicate fluently with other Chinese speakers. Pass HSK level 4 or 3.
Advanced I
 
Master around 6500 words, be able to read Chinese newspapers and magazines; also, you can enjoy Chinese films and even give a speech in Chinese. Pass HSK level 5 or 4.
Advanced II
 
Master around 8000 words, be able to understand the information written or spoken in Chinese, can effectively express yourself in Chinese, both in spoken and written form Pass HSK level 6 or 5.

Course Information

Each semester consists of 18 teaching weeks with 20 hours per week, and is conducted from Monday to Friday morning. The after-school counseling is from Monday to Thursday afternoon, and you can take various optional courses in accordance with your own interest and need.

Enrollment & Registration

1. The admission documents including Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (Form JW202) will be issued and sent to applicants or collected in 10 working days after passing the review of online application.
2. Admitted applicant should submit the passport, Admission Notice, and Visa Application Form (Form JW202) to the Chinese embassy (or the Chinese Consulate General) in home country to apply for a student visa. Applicants should register at the Admissions and Academic Affairs Office of College of International Education of ECUST within the registration period.
